-
Step 1 - Meeting
Once you have contacted Carolina Boat Brokerage, the first thing to happen will be an initial meeting between yourself and one of our brokers to look at your boat with you.
-
Step 2 - Boat Evaluation
Our brokers will look at the value of your boat and compare it to other boats on the market, as well as recently sold boats.
-
Step 3 - Pricing Your Boat
We will also look at comparable boats that have sold recently and we will help you decide on a listing price for your boat.
-
Step 4 - Listing Agreement
You then sign a 3 month exclusive listing agreement with our firm (most others require a 6-month agreement).
-
Step 5 - Professional Listing
We prepare professional listings with professional grade photos and a detailed description about your boat is drafted by our team.
-
Step 6 - Marketing
We use mass emails to over 5000 previous clients and customers, digital and print advertising, a broker's MLS, and professional relationships with national brokers and marinas.
-
Step 7 - Listing & Progress Updates
Throughout the time that your boat is listed with us, we will remain in contact with you about the status of your boat 24 hours a day.
-
Step 8 - Prospective Buyers
We handle ALL dealings with prospective buyers including all: phone calls, emails, showings, sea trials and surveys.
-
Step 9 - The Closing
We handle the whole closing process. We provide hands on orientation for the new buyer and prepare the bill of sale and title transfers.
-
Step 10 - Our Fee
Our fee for the whole process is the industry standard 10% of the selling price. After the boat is closed and the money is clear, you will receive the balance of the funds either via check or wire transfer.
